About Us
I have been baking since I was 6 years old. I started with helping my maternal grandmother in the kitchen prepare for huge family celebrations and occasions. It was her theory that it was better always to have food left over than to run out of food.
I baked and decorated my first cake alone at age 9. I have recipes that have been passed from generation to generation. I also have recipes that were created specifically to meet the needs of others. I continue to build on that list with every event.
One of our most popular items, the HeartHealthy Oatmeal cookie, was designed for a good friend's husband. After his first heart attack it was recommended he eat oatmeal daily. He couldn't stand it. I created a breakfast cookie that uses whole oats, steel cut oats, cranberries for antioxidants, walnuts for omega 3 oils and coconut for good fat. Finally, I stripped out all but a half cup of refined sugar. The rest is yummy history!
Many of our cake pop and candy pretzel flavors also were born from challenges or suggestions. The chocolate dipped strawberry cake pop and cranberry walnut white chocolate pretzel are among the most popular. Both were creative challenges from customers.

Quality Ingredients is AMAZING!! I have an event planning business and we frequently use Quality Ingredients for all of our sweet buffet and baked good needs. I also use Quality Ingredients for personal indulgence. The cake pops are the best I've EVER tasted and there is always a fun new flavor to try. My children LOVE them as well! My fiancé, Stephen, and I hired Erricka to do our cake and dessert table for our wedding reception. To say we were pleased is a huge understatement. Erricka went above and beyond, not only making incredible desserts (cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries, and mini cupcakes of assorted flavors) that the guests loved but also creating a table that aligned with our color themes and stood out in the room. She was extremely professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend her for weddings and parties. You will not be disappointed.

We asked Erricka Coleman to cater our wedding for 150 people last month and she ended up becoming our de facto wedding planner. Say whaaaat? Who does that? This lady is so incredibly creative, talented, and kindhearted, and we are so lucky to have worked with her. She went so far above and beyond, not only with the food (which was amazing btw), but also with coordinating and sourcing staff and all the decorative touches that made things so special. We gave her a theme and she ran with it, coming up with grandiose ideas that we never would have thought of. From the moment we started working we knew we were in good hands.
On the day of our outdoor wedding there were 65mph straight line winds. We learned very quickly that when strong winds and tents fight, strong winds win i.e. the gigantic tent collapsed. Luckily the barn next to the tent was big enough to fit all of our guests and Erricka was there to come up with plans B, C, and D on the spot within a matter of minutes. She swiftly delegated tasks to her crew and by the time everyone arrived everything was ready to roll. Never let 'em see you sweat, right? Her improvisational skills quite literally saved our wedding. While we were freaking out, she was getting stuff done. In the end, everything came together beautifully and it turned out to be a very special day for us.

With all that being said, if you have an event coming up that needs catering, Erricka Coleman and Quality Ingredients should be your very first phone call. Their food is awesome and beautiful, but the real value is working with such an amazing person. She's a true professional that I will recommend to anyone without hesitation.
